So here a few photos i’ve taken over the last month or so… some are set up, some are spontaneous, all are attempts to experiment outside of the Automatic mode comfort zone. Clearly i haven’t used ideal conditions or settings, as the results are not brilliant, but they are simply trials (hence the title)… both for me and the camera.

Garden bonfires provided decent opportunities for exciting and colourful night shots
.
With a garden blooming comes bumbles a buzzing…

Night Skies: These were captured within 6 feet from my front door and showcase my amateur jumbling of shutter speed and exposure… call me lazy and easily to bed, but i was pleased with this first attempt at the time (2am)
.
A wee bit of aperture and shutter speed play here… not really successful, however a couple cool cat shots
.
Flashing the Sky! I found the method of effect in these final photos by chance. I accidentally used a flash whilst trying to capture an object in the foreground (me) with a 3.2 second exposure of a sky background… though it may be an old trick in the photography book, i (and company) enjoyed the discovery, as you can see…

Next post will be travel related. Until then here is a window into my madness…
